It was around Guru Ram Rai and his followers that "modern Dehradun" is supposed to have formed. The Durbar is richly decorated with paintings which are hard to follow as to the narrative. There seems to be some sort of early mixed text, in Gurmukhi too...there are the Sikhs, the Mughals, characters from Hindu texts...and also Nathpanthis/Udāsīn (उदासीन) saints (?)...
